The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

आसीत्कश्चिन्महाभिक्षुः समाध्यभ्यासतत्परः ।
नित्यं स्वव्यवहारेण क्षपयत्यखिलं दिनम् ॥ २ ॥

āsītkaścinmahābhikṣuḥ samādhyabhyāsatatparaḥ |
nityaṃ svavyavahāreṇa kṣapayatyakhilaṃ dinam || 2 ||

There lived a great mendicant at one time, who devoted his life to holy devotion, and passed his days in the observance of the rules of his mendicancy.
