The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.68.21

संसक्तिर्द्विविधा प्रोक्ता वन्द्या वन्ध्या च राघव ।
वन्ध्या सर्वत्र मूढानां वन्द्या तत्त्वविदां निजा ॥ २१ ॥

saṃsaktirdvividhā proktā vandyā vandhyā ca rāghava |
vandhyā sarvatra mūḍhānāṃ vandyā tattvavidāṃ nijā || 21 ||

Worldly affections are of two kinds said:—the praiseworthy and the fruitless ones; those of the wise and learned men, belong to the former kind;but the tendencies of the ignorant, are of the latter or unfruitful kind.
