The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

कदाचित्सृष्टयः शार्व्यः कदाचित्पद्मजोद्भवाः ।
कदाचिदपि वैष्णव्यः कदाचिन्मुनिनिर्मिताः ॥ ८ ॥

kadācitsṛṣṭayaḥ śārvyaḥ kadācitpadmajodbhavāḥ |
kadācidapi vaiṣṇavyaḥ kadācinmuninirmitāḥ || 8 ||

Some creations were made with Brahma as the first born, others with Vishnu and some with Siva as the next created beings. There were some other (minor productions), having the munis for the patriarchs.
