The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.85.26

त्रिप्रवाहा त्रिपथगा कृतोर्ध्वाधोगमागमा ।
जगद्यज्ञोपवीताभा स्फुरतीन्दुकलामला ॥ २६ ॥

tripravāhā tripathagā kṛtordhvādhogamāgamā |
jagadyajñopavītābhā sphuratīndukalāmalā || 26 ||

The bright moon-beams stretching both above and below and all around the three sides, appear as the white sacred thread, girding the world above and below and all about; or as the stream of Ganga running in three directions in the upper, lower and nether worlds.
