The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

आगच्छ निकटं नद्या गच्छामस्तत्र भूमिप ।
स्वाचान्ताभ्यां संयताभ्यां भवद्भ्यां सुमता ददे ॥ ३१ ॥

āgaccha nikaṭaṃ nadyā gacchāmastatra bhūmipa |
svācāntābhyāṃ saṃyatābhyāṃ bhavadbhyāṃ sumatā dade || 31 ||

Now advance towards me, and let us go to the neighbouring river; and there initiate you with the mantra, after you both are prepared to receive it by your ablution and purification.
