The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 3.2.117; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. अनवस्थित्र् आख्याता चित्तस्यालम्ब-शून्यता ।
अरागिता तु सर्वस्मिन्न् अधृतिः कथिता बुधैः ।
अन्ये’ष्टौ प्रकटार्थत्वात् तापाद्या न हि लक्षिताः ॥३.२.११७॥anavasthitr ākhyātā cittasyālamba-śūnyatā |
arāgitā tu sarvasminn adhṛtiḥ kathitā budhaiḥ |
anye’ṣṭau prakaṭārthatvāt tāpādyā na hi lakṣitāḥ ||3.2.117||
English translation
“Alamba-ṣūnyatā means instability of the mind and adhṛti means lack of attraction for anything. Since the meanings of the other words are clear, they are not explained here.”
