The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 3.2.117; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

Sanskrit text, Unicode transliteration and English translation:

अनवस्थित्र् आख्याता चित्तस्यालम्ब-शून्यता ।
अरागिता तु सर्वस्मिन्न् अधृतिः कथिता बुधैः ।
अन्ये’ष्टौ प्रकटार्थत्वात् तापाद्या न हि लक्षिताः ॥३.२.११७॥

anavasthitr ākhyātā cittasyālamba-śūnyatā |
arāgitā tu sarvasminn adhṛtiḥ kathitā budhaiḥ |
anye’ṣṭau prakaṭārthatvāt tāpādyā na hi lakṣitāḥ ||3.2.117||

English translation

Alamba-ṣūnyatā means instability of the mind and adhṛti means lack of attraction for anything. Since the meanings of the other words are clear, they are not explained here.”
