The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.1.262; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

यथा —
प्रतिकुले’पि स-शूले, शिवे शिवायां निरंशुकायां च ।
व्यलुनाद् एव मुकुन्दो विन्ध्यावलि-नन्दनस्य भुजान् ॥२.१.२६२॥

yathā —
pratikule’pi sa-śūle, śive śivāyāṃ niraṃśukāyāṃ ca |
vyalunād eva mukundo vindhyāvali-nandanasya bhujān
||2.1.262||

English translation

“Even though His act was obstructed by Śiva with his trident and Bāṇa’s mother who had appeared without clothing, Mukunda cut off Bāṇasura’s arms.”
