The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.1.102; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

यथा —
अभूत् कंस-रिपोर् नेत्रं शास्त्रम् एवार्थ-दृष्टये ।
नेत्राम्बुजं तु युवती- वृन्दान् मादाय केवलम् ॥२.१.१०१॥yathā —
abhūt kaṃsa-ripor netraṃ śāstram evārtha-dṛṣṭaye |
netrāmbujaṃ tu yuvatī- vṛndān mādāya kevalam ||2.1.101||
English translation

“थे एयेस् ओf स्च्रिप्तुरे wहिछ् बेलोन्ग् तो कृष्ण, थे एनेम्य् ओf कंस, एxइस्त् ओन्ल्य् तो सेए थे प्रच्तिचल् अच्तिओन् इन् अ गिवेन् सितुअतिओन्, अन्द् हिस् लोतुस् एयेस् एxइस्त् ओन्ल्य् तो बेwइल्देर् थे योउन्ग् wओमेन्.”
(२१) शुचिः —
पावनश् च विशुद्धेश् चेत्य् उच्यते द्विविधः शुचिः ।
पावनः पाप-नाशी स्याद् विशुद्धस् त्यक्त-दूसणः ॥२.१.१०२॥“The eyes of scripture which belong to Kṛṣṇa, the enemy of Kaṃsa, exist only to see the practical action in a given situation, and His lotus eyes exist only to bewilder the young women.”
(21) śuciḥ —
pāvanaś ca viśuddheś cety ucyate dvividhaḥ śuciḥ |
pāvanaḥ pāpa-nāśī syād viśuddhas tyakta-dūsaṇaḥ ||2.1.102||
English translation
(21) śuciḥ: pure —
“There are two types of purity: pāvana and viśuddha. Pāvana means he who destroys sin, and viśuddha means he who is without faults.”
