यथा स्कान्दे —
एते न ह्य् अद्भुता व्याध तवाहिंसादयो गुणाः ।
हरि-भक्तौ प्रवृत्ता ये न ते स्युः पर-तापिनः ॥१.२.२६२ ॥yathā skānde —
ete na hy adbhutā vyādha tavāhiṃsādayo guṇāḥ |
hari-bhaktau pravṛttā ye na te syuḥ para-tāpinaḥ ||1.2.262 ||
English translation
Thus in the Skanda Purāṇa it is said:
“O hunter! These qualities such as nonviolence are not astonishing, because the persons who engage in devotion to the Lord will never cause affliction to others.”
