The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 1.2.262 ; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

यथा स्कान्दे —
एते न ह्य् अद्भुता व्याध तवाहिंसादयो गुणाः ।
हरि-भक्तौ प्रवृत्ता ये न ते स्युः पर-तापिनः ॥१.२.२६२ ॥

yathā skānde —
ete na hy adbhutā vyādha tavāhiṃsādayo guṇāḥ |
hari-bhaktau pravṛttā ye na te syuḥ para-tāpinaḥ
||1.2.262 ||

English translation

Thus in the Skanda Purāṇa it is said:
“O hunter! These qualities such as nonviolence are not astonishing, because the persons who engage in devotion to the Lord will never cause affliction to others.”
