उ॒त वा उ॒ परि॑ वृणक्षि॒ बप्स॑द्ब॒होर॑ग्न॒ उल॑पस्य स्वधावः । उ॒त खि॒ल्या उ॒र्वरा॑णां भवन्ति॒ मा ते॑ हे॒तिं तवि॑षीं चुक्रुधाम ॥
उत वा उ परि वृणक्षि बप्सद्बहोरग्न उलपस्य स्वधावः । उत खिल्या उर्वराणां भवन्ति मा ते हेतिं तविषीं चुक्रुधाम ॥
uta vā u pari vṛṇakṣi bapsad bahor agna ulapasya svadhāvaḥ | uta khilyā urvarāṇām bhavanti mā te hetiṃ taviṣīṃ cukrudhāma ||
English translation:
“Blazing Agni, you destroy many a shrub, as you burn; and (the sites) of the tilled fields are laid waste,may we never rouse to anger your terrible flame.”
