आ नो॑ द्र॒प्सा मधु॑मन्तो विश॒न्त्विन्द्र॑ दे॒ह्यधि॑रथं स॒हस्र॑म् । नि षी॑द हो॒त्रमृ॑तु॒था य॑जस्व दे॒वान्दे॑वापे ह॒विषा॑ सपर्य ॥
आ नो द्रप्सा मधुमन्तो विशन्त्विन्द्र देह्यधिरथं सहस्रम् । नि षीद होत्रमृतुथा यजस्व देवान्देवापे हविषा सपर्य ॥
ā no drapsā madhumanto viśantv indra dehy adhirathaṃ sahasram | ni ṣīda hotram ṛtuthā yajasva devān devāpe haviṣā saparya ||
English translation:
“May the sweet drops of rain fall upon us; grant us, Indra, a thousand chariot-loads. Sit down, Devāpi,to your duties as Hotā; in due season sacrifice to the gods, worship them with oblations. functions as Hotā. He has brought down from the upper to the lower ocean the rain waters of heaven.”
