अ॒स्मे धे॑हि द्यु॒मतीं॒ वाच॑मा॒सन्बृह॑स्पते अनमी॒वामि॑षि॒राम् । यया॑ वृ॒ष्टिं शंत॑नवे॒ वना॑व दि॒वो द्र॒प्सो मधु॑माँ॒ आ वि॑वेश ॥
अस्मे धेहि द्युमतीं वाचमासन्बृहस्पते अनमीवामिषिराम् । यया वृष्टिं शंतनवे वनाव दिवो द्रप्सो मधुमाँ आ विवेश ॥
asme dhehi dyumatīṃ vācam āsan bṛhaspate anamīvām iṣirām | yayā vṛṣṭiṃ śaṃtanave vanāva divo drapso madhumām̐ ā viveśa ||

English translation:

“Put, Bṛhaspati, in my mouth a brilliant eulogium, prompt and free from defect, by which we two mayobtain rain from heaven for Śantanu, the sweet drop (sent by you) has entered (our voice).”
