हव॑न्त उ त्वा॒ हव्यं॒ विवा॑चि त॒नूषु॒ शूरा॒: सूर्य॑स्य सा॒तौ । त्वं विश्वे॑षु॒ सेन्यो॒ जने॑षु॒ त्वं वृ॒त्राणि॑ रन्धया सु॒हन्तु॑ ॥
हवन्त उ त्वा हव्यं विवाचि तनूषु शूराः सूर्यस्य सातौ । त्वं विश्वेषु सेन्यो जनेषु त्वं वृत्राणि रन्धया सुहन्तु ॥
havanta u tvā havyaṃ vivāci tanūṣu śūrāḥ sūryasya sātau | tvaṃ viśveṣu senyo janeṣu tvaṃ vṛtrāṇi randhayā suhantu ||
English translation:
“Warriors invoke you, worthy to be invoked, in the variously clamorous (strife), for (the safety of their)person ns, and for the (long) enjoyment of the sun; you are a fit leader over all men; humble our enemies by thefatal (bolt).”
