Rig Veda 7.3.4

वि यस्य॑ ते पृथि॒व्यां पाजो॒ अश्रे॑त्तृ॒षु यदन्ना॑ स॒मवृ॑क्त॒ जम्भै॑: । सेने॑व सृ॒ष्टा प्रसि॑तिष्ट एति॒ यवं॒ न द॑स्म जु॒ह्वा॑ विवेक्षि ॥
वि यस्य ते पृथिव्यां पाजो अश्रेत्तृषु यदन्ना समवृक्त जम्भैः । सेनेव सृष्टा प्रसितिष्ट एति यवं न दस्म जुह्वा विवेक्षि ॥
vi yasya te pṛthivyām pājo aśret tṛṣu yad annā samavṛkta jambhaiḥ | seneva sṛṣṭā prasitiṣ ṭa eti yavaṃ na dasma juhvā vivekṣi ||

English translation:

“The light of whom quickly spreads over the earth when with his teeth (of flame) he devours his food;your blaze rushes along like a charging host, when Agni, of goodly aspect, you spread with your flame (amongthe trees) as if (they were) barley.”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya

You spread with your flame: yavam na dasma juhvā = darśanīyāgnertvam yavam iva jvālayā kāṣṭhādīni bhakṣayasi, when you eat wood and other things like barley, withflame
