तमिद्दो॒षा तमु॒षसि॒ यवि॑ष्ठम॒ग्निमत्यं॒ न म॑र्जयन्त॒ नर॑: । नि॒शिशा॑ना॒ अति॑थिमस्य॒ योनौ॑ दी॒दाय॑ शो॒चिराहु॑तस्य॒ वृष्ण॑: ॥
तमिद्दोषा तमुषसि यविष्ठमग्निमत्यं न मर्जयन्त नरः । निशिशाना अतिथिमस्य योनौ दीदाय शोचिराहुतस्य वृष्णः ॥
tam id doṣā tam uṣasi yaviṣṭham agnim atyaṃ na marjayanta naraḥ | niśiśānā atithim asya yonau dīdāya śocir āhutasya vṛṣṇaḥ ||
English translation:
“Men cherish that youthful Agni at evening and at dawn, as (they tend) a horse; lighting him as a guestin his proper station; the radiance of the showerer (of benefits), to whom the oblation is offered, shines brightly.”
