Rig Veda 4.57.3

मधु॑मती॒रोष॑धी॒र्द्याव॒ आपो॒ मधु॑मन्नो भवत्व॒न्तरि॑क्षम् । क्षेत्र॑स्य॒ पति॒र्मधु॑मान्नो अ॒स्त्वरि॑ष्यन्तो॒ अन्वे॑नं चरेम ॥
मधुमतीरोषधीर्द्याव आपो मधुमन्नो भवत्वन्तरिक्षम् । क्षेत्रस्य पतिर्मधुमान्नो अस्त्वरिष्यन्तो अन्वेनं चरेम ॥
madhumatīr oṣadhīr dyāva āpo madhuman no bhavatv antarikṣam | kṣetrasya patir madhumān no astv ariṣyanto anv enaṃ carema ||

English translation:

“May the herbs (of the field) be sweet for us; may the heavens, the waters, the firmament, be kind to us; may the lord of the field be gracious to us; let us, undeterred (by foes), have recourse to him.”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya

Be kind: an epithet of kṣetrapati;
