आ रोद॑सी अपृण॒दा स्व॑र्म॒हज्जा॒तं यदे॑नम॒पसो॒ अधा॑रयन् । सो अ॑ध्व॒राय॒ परि॑ णीयते क॒विरत्यो॒ न वाज॑सातये॒ चनो॑हितः ॥
आ रोदसी अपृणदा स्वर्महज्जातं यदेनमपसो अधारयन् । सो अध्वराय परि णीयते कविरत्यो न वाजसातये चनोहितः ॥
ā rodasī apṛṇad ā svar mahaj jātaṃ yad enam apaso adhārayan | so adhvarāya pari ṇīyate kavir atyo na vājasātaye canohitaḥ ||
English translation:
“He has filled both heaven and earth and the spacious firmament, he whom the performers of (sacred) rites have laid hold of as soon as born; he, the sage, the giver of food, is brought like a horse to the sacrificer, for (the sake of) obtaining food.”
