Rig Veda 2.26.4

यो अ॑स्मै ह॒व्यैर्घृ॒तव॑द्भि॒रवि॑ध॒त्प्र तं प्रा॒चा न॑यति॒ ब्रह्म॑ण॒स्पति॑: । उ॒रु॒ष्यती॒मंह॑सो॒ रक्ष॑ती रि॒षों॒३॒॑ऽहोश्चि॑दस्मा उरु॒चक्रि॒रद्भु॑तः ॥
यो अस्मै हव्यैर्घृतवद्भिरविधत्प्र तं प्राचा नयति ब्रह्मणस्पतिः । उरुष्यतीमंहसो रक्षती रिषोंऽहोश्चिदस्मा उरुचक्रिरद्भुतः ॥
yo asmai havyair ghṛtavadbhir avidhat pra tam prācā nayati brahmaṇas patiḥ | uruṣyatīm aṃhaso rakṣatī riṣo 'ṃhoś cid asmā urucakrir adbhutaḥ ||

English translation:

Brahmaṇaspati leads by a straight path (to his reward), the worshipper who propitiates him with oblations of butter; he guards him against sin; he protects him from foes and from distress; and wonderful (in might) confers upon him many (favours).”
