त्वाम॑ग्ने पि॒तर॑मि॒ष्टिभि॒र्नर॒स्त्वां भ्रा॒त्राय॒ शम्या॑ तनू॒रुच॑म् । त्वं पु॒त्रो भ॑वसि॒ यस्तेऽवि॑ध॒त्त्वं सखा॑ सु॒शेव॑: पास्या॒धृष॑: ॥
त्वामग्ने पितरमिष्टिभिर्नरस्त्वां भ्रात्राय शम्या तनूरुचम् । त्वं पुत्रो भवसि यस्तेऽविधत्त्वं सखा सुशेवः पास्याधृषः ॥
tvām agne pitaram iṣṭibhir naras tvām bhrātrāya śamyā tanūrucam | tvam putro bhavasi yas te 'vidhat tvaṃ sakhā suśevaḥ pāsy ādhṛṣaḥ ||

English translation:

“(Devout) men (worship) you, Agni, as a father, with sacred rites; they (cherish) you, who are the illumination of the body, with acts (of kindness), as a brother; you are as a son to him who propitiates you; and you protect us, a faithful and firm friend.”
