The Garga-samhita Verse 6.10.31, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 6 of Chapter 10 (In the Description of the Gomati River, the Glories of Cakra-tirtha) of Canto 6 (dvaraka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

न याचितो मया त्वं वै
क्वापि वैश्रवण प्रभो
अद्यैव यचनं कुर्वे
ज्ञात्वा त्वं दानि-सत्तमम्

na yācito mayā tvaṃ vai
kvāpi vaiśravaṇa prabho
adyaiva yacanaṃ kurve
jñātvā tvaṃ dāni-sattamam

na—not; yācitaḥ—asked; mayāby me; tvam—you; vai—indeed; kvāpi— somewhere; vaiśravaṇaO Kuvera; prabhaḥO lord; adyatoday; eva—indeed; yacanam—request; kurve—I do; jñātvāknowing; tvam—you; dāni-sattamam—the most generous.

English translation of verse 6.10.31:

O Lord Kuvera, in the past I have never asked any favors of you, but today, aware that you are very generous by nature, I have a request to ask of you.
