The Garga-samhita Verse 5.17.19, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 5 of Chapter 17 (The Gopis Describe Their Remembrance of Sri Krsna) of Canto 5 (mathura-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

स्रि-सोदच-सख्य उचुह् वेनु-नद-मधुर-ध्वनिम् वने सन्निचम्य कुसुमेसु-वर्धनम् च्रोत्र-युग्मम् इह नह् च्र्नोति नो विच्व-गितम् उत व यचह् परम् स्रि-सोदच-सख्य

sri-sodaca-sakhya ucuh venu-nada-madhura-dhvanim vane sannicamya kusumesu-vardhanam crotra-yugmam iha nah crnoti no vicva-gitam uta va yacah param sri-sodaca-sakhya

ucuh—the sixteen gopi friends said; venu-nada-madhura-dhvanim—the sweet sound of the flute; vane—in the forest; sannicamya—hearing; kusumesu-vardhanamincreasing amorous desires; crotra-yugmam—ears; iha—here; nah—of us; crnoti—hear; nah—not; vicva-gitam—the son of the world; uta—indeed; va—or; yacah—fame; param—great.

English translation of verse 5.17.19:

The sixteen gopi friends said: When they hear the sweet musaic of Krsna's flute in the forest, our ears cannot hear any other music in the entire world. Our ears do not think any other music is sweet and glorious.
