The Garga-samhita Verse 5.8.15, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 5 of Chapter 8 (The Killing of Kamsa) of Canto 5 (mathura-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

श्रीदामादीन् वयस्यांश् च
गोपान् आकृष्य माधवः
तैः सार्धं युद्धम् आरेभे
सर्वेषां पश्यतां सताम्

śrīdāmādīn vayasyāṃś ca
gopān ākṛṣya mādhavaḥ
taiḥ sārdhaṃ yuddham ārebhe
sarveṣāṃ paśyatāṃ satām

śrīdāmādīn—headed by Śrīdama; vayasyān—friends; ca—and; gopān—gopas; ākṛṣyapulling; mādhavaḥ—Kṛṣṇa; taiḥ—them; sārdham—with; yuddham—fight; ārebhe—began; sarveṣām—of all; paśyatām—watching; satām—the saintly devotees.

English translation of verse 5.8.15:

Then, calling Śrīdāmā and His other gopa friends, Kṛṣṇa began to fight with them as the saintly people of Mathurā looked on.
