आकाशात् पतितः सो ऽपि
किञ्चिद् व्याकुल-मानसः
समुत्थाय पुनर् दैत्यो
जगर्ज घनवद् बली

ākāśāt patitaḥ so 'pi
kiñcid vyākula-mānasaḥ
samutthāya punar daityo
jagarja ghanavad balī

ākāśāt—from the sky; patitaḥfallen; so 'pi—he; kiñcitsomewhat; vyākula-mānasaḥ—agitated at heart; samutthāya—standing up; punaḥ—again; daityaḥ—the demon; jagarja—neighed; ghanavat—like a cloud; balīpowerful;

English translation of verse 5.2.9:

When he fell from the sky, the powerful demon was somewhat disturbed at heart. Standing up again, he neighed like thunder.
