The Garga-samhita Verse 4.14.31, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 4 of Chapter 14 (The Story of the Jalandharis) of Canto 4 (madhurya-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

रङ्गोजिं स-कुटुम्बं तं
नीत्वा कंसो ऽथ दैत्य-राट्
मथुरां प्राययौ वीरो
नादयन् दुन्दुभीन् छनैः

raṅgojiṃ sa-kuṭumbaṃ taṃ
nītvā kaṃso 'tha daitya-rāṭ
mathurāṃ prāyayau vīro
nādayan dundubhīn chanaiḥ

raṅgojim—Rangoji; sa-kuṭumbam—with his family; tam—him; nītvā—taking; kaṃsaḥKaṃsa; athathen; daitya-rāṭ—the king of the demons; mathurām—to Mathura; prāyayau—went; vīraḥ—hero; nādayan—sounding; dundubhīn—drums; śanaiḥ—slowly.

English translation of verse 4.14.31:

Taking Raṅgoji and his family with him, the demon-king Kaṃsa triumphantly entered Mathurā as the drums played a slow march.
