The Garga-samhita Verse 3.2.7, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 3 of Chapter 2 (The Great Festival of Shri Giriraja) of Canto 3 (giriraja-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

प्रचण्डो वज्र-पातानां
मेघानाम् अन्त-कारिणाम्
महा-शब्दो ऽभवद् भूमौ
मैथिलेन्द्र भयङ्करः

pracaṇḍo vajra-pātānāṃ
meghānām anta-kāriṇām
mahā-śabdo 'bhavad bhūmau
maithilendra bhayaṅkaraḥ

pracaṇḍaḥferocious; vajra-pātānām—of thunder; meghānām—of the clouds; anta-kāriṇām—putting an end to all; mahāgreat; śabdaḥ—sound; abhavat—was; bhūmau—on the earth; maithilendra—O king of Mithilā; bhayaṅkaraḥ—fearful.

English translation of verse 3.2.7:

O king of Mithilā, the earth was filled with ferocious, terrifying, and devastating sounds of thunder.
