The Garga-samhita Verse 2.13.31, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 2 of Chapter 13 (The Story of Shesha) of Canto 2 (vrindavana-khanda).

गृहीत्वा स्व-करेणेदं
गरिष्ठं भूमि-मण्डलम्
दधार स्व-पणे शेषो
ऽप्य् एकस्मिंश् चण्ड-विक्रमः

gṛhītvā sva-kareṇedaṃ
gariṣṭhaṃ bhūmi-maṇḍalam
dadhāra sva-paṇe śeṣo
'py ekasmiṃś caṇḍa-vikramaḥ

gṛhītvāholding; sva-kareṇa—with His own hand; idam—this; gariṣṭham—great; bhūmi-maṇḍalam—earth; dadhāra—held; sva-paṇe—in His hand; śeṣaḥLord Śeṣa; api—also; ekasmiṃś—in one; caṇḍa-vikramaḥvery powerful.

English translation of verse 2.13.31:

Then very powerful Ananta Śeṣa picked up Bhū-maṇḍala and held it in one hand.
