The Garga-samhita Verse 2.11.10, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 2 of Chapter 11 (The Liberation of Dhenukasura) of Canto 2 (vrindavana-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

योजनं नोदयाम् आस
गजं प्रति गजो यथा
गृहीत्वा तं बलः सद्यो
भ्रामयित्वाथ धेनुकम्

yojanaṃ nodayām āsa
gajaṃ prati gajo yathā
gṛhītvā taṃ balaḥ sadyo
bhrāmayitvātha dhenukam

yojanam—for eight miles; nodayām āsa—threw; gajam—one elephant; pratito; gajaḥ—one elephant; yathā—as; gṛhītvāgrabbing; tam—him; balaḥ—Balarāma; sadyaḥ—at once; bhrāmayitvā—whirling around; atha-then; dhenukamDhenuka.

English translation of verse 2.11.10:

Then Balarāma suddenly grabbed Dhenuka, whirled him around, and, as one elephant throws another elephant, threw him for eight miles.
