The Garga-samhita Verse 2.7.17, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 2 of Chapter 7 (Kidnapping of the Calves and Cowherd Boys) of Canto 2 (vrindavana-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

भुक्त्वा ते कथयाम् आसुः
प्रहसन्तः परस्परम्
पुनस् तत्रापि सुबलो
हरये कवलं ददौ

bhuktvā te kathayām āsuḥ
prahasantaḥ parasparam
punas tatrāpi subalo
haraye kavalaṃ dadau

bhuktvāeating; te—they; kathayām āsuḥ—said; prahasantaḥ—laughing; parasparam—among themselves; punaḥ—again; tatra—there; api—also; subalaḥSubala; haraye—to Kṛṣṇa; kavalamamorsel; dadau—gave.

English translation of verse 2.7.17:

Joking and laughing, the boys ate. Then Subala gave a morsel of food to Kṛṣṇa.
