The Garga-samhita Verse 1.12.16, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 12 (Description of Shri Nanda’s Festival) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

हैयङ्गविन-दुग्धानां
दध्य्-अज्यानां बलीन् बहून्
नीत्वा वृद्धा यष्टि-हस्ता
नन्द-मन्दिरम् आययुः

haiyaṅgavina-dugdhānāṃ
dadhy-ajyānāṃ balīn bahūn
nītvā vṛddhā yaṣṭi-hastā
nanda-mandiram āyayuḥ

haiyaṅgavina—of fresh butter; dugdhānām—milk; dadhiyogurt; ajyānām—and ghee; balīn—offerings; bahūn—many; nītvā—bringing; vṛddhāḥ—elderly; yaṣṭisticks; hastāḥ—in hand; nandaof Nanda; mandiram—to the palace; āyayuḥ—came.

English translation of verse 1.12.16:

Sticks in hand, and bringing many offerings of butter, ghee, milk, and yogurt, many elder cowherd men came to Nanda's palace.
