श्री-नारद उवाच
इत्य् उक्त्वा सौहृदं हृद्यं
सद्यो वै कंस-बाणयोः
चकार परया शान्त्या
शिवः साक्षान् महेश्वरः
śrī-nārada uvāca
ity uktvā sauhṛdaṃ hṛdyaṃ
sadyo vai kaṃsa-bāṇayoḥ
cakāra parayā śāntyā
śivaḥ sākṣān maheśvaraḥ

English translation of verse 1.7.14:
friendship; hṛdyaṃ—sincere; sadyo—at once; vai—certainly; kaṃsa-bāṇayoḥ—of Kaṃsa and Bāṇa; cakāra—did; parayā—with great; śāntyā—peacefulness; śivaḥ—

Śrī Nārada said: By speaking these words Lord Śiva, who is the Supreme Lord Himself, brought peace between Kaṃsa and Bāṇāsura and made them great friends.
