उत्थाय दैत्यो बलवान्
सित-पक्षो घन-स्वनः
क्रोध-युक्तः समुत्पत्य
तीक्ष्न-तुण्डो ऽग्रसच् च तम्
utthāya daityo balavān
sita-pakṣo ghana-svanaḥ
krodha-yuktaḥ samutpatya
tīkṣna-tuṇḍo 'grasac ca tam
utthāya—lifting; daityaḥ—the demon; balavān—powerful; sita—white; pakṣaḥ—wings; ghana-svanaḥ—sound of thunder; krodha-yuktaḥ—angry; samutpatya—lifting; tīkṣna—sharp; tuṇḍaḥ—beak; agrasat—swallowed; ca—and; tam—him.
English translation of verse 1.6.59:
Lifting itself up, the white-winged demon made a sound like thunder and angrily swallowed Kaṃsa with its sharp beak.
