The Garga-samhita Verse 1.6.60, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 6 (Description of Kamsa’s Strength) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

निगीर्णो ऽपि स वज्राङ्गस्
तद्-गले रोध-कृच् च यः
सद्यश् चच्छर्द तं कंसं
क्षत-कण्ठो महा-बकः

nigīrṇo 'pi sa vajrāṅgas
tad-gale rodha-kṛc ca yaḥ
sadyaś caccharda taṃ kaṃsaṃ
kṣata-kaṇṭho mahā-bakaḥ

nigīrṇaḥ—swallowed; api—also; saḥ—he; vajrathunderbolt; aṅgaḥbody; tat—its; gale—throat; rodha-kṛtangry; ca—also; yaḥ—who; sadyaḥ—at once; caccharda—vomited; tam—him; kaṃsam—Kaṃsa; kṣatabroken; kaṇṭhaḥ—neck; mahā-bakaḥ—great duck.

English translation of verse 1.6.60:

When he was swallowed, Kaṃsa became angry and his body became like a thunderbolt. Its throat breaking, the great duck Bakāsura spat Kaṃsa out at once.
