The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.7.53, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 53 of Madhya-khanda chapter 7—“The Meeting of Gadadhara and Pundarika”.

মুকুন্দ বলেন,—“শ্রী-গদাধর’ নাম শিশু হৈতে সংসারে বিরক্ত ভাগ্যবান্ ‘মাধব মিশ্রের পুত্র’ কহি ব্যবহারে সকল বৈষ্ণব প্রীতি বাসেন ইঙ্হারে ॥ ৫৩-০৫৪ ॥
मुकुन्द बलेन,—“श्री-गदाधर’ नाम शिशु हैते संसारे विरक्त भाग्यवान् ‘माधव मिश्रेर पुत्र’ कहि व्यवहारे सकल वैष्णव प्रीति वासेन इङ्हारे ॥ ५३-०५४ ॥
mukunda balena,—“śrī-gadādhara’ nāma śiśu haite saṃsāre virakta bhāgyavān ‘mādhava miśrera putra’ kahi vyavahāre sakala vaiṣṇava prīti vāsena iṅhāre || 53-054 ||
mukunda balena,—“sri-gadadhara’ nama sisu haite samsare virakta bhagyavan ‘madhava misrera putra’ kahi vyavahare sakala vaisnava priti vasena inhare (53-054)
English translation:
(53-054) Mukunda said, “His name is Śrī Gadādhara. He is fortunate because since his childhood he has been detached from family life. He is known as the son of Mādhava Miśra. All the Vaiṣṇavas have great affection for him.
Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:
In answer to Puṇḍarīka Vidyānidhi’s questions regarding Śrī Gadādhara, Mukunda said, “Among the common people and by worldly consideration he is the son of a brāhmaṇa named Mādhava Miśra. He is situated in the principles of renunciation from his very childhood (in other words, he introduced Gadādhara according to his situation within varṇāśrama). But he is the object of love for all Vaiṣṇavas.”
