Verse 2.1.150

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.1.150:

কৃষ্ণের চরণ ছাডি’ যে আর বাখানে বৃথা জন্ম যায তার অসত্য-বচনে ॥ ১৫০ ॥

कृष्णेर चरण छाडि’ ये आर वाखाने वृथा जन्म याय तार असत्य-वचने ॥ १५० ॥

kṛṣṇera caraṇa chāḍi’ ye āra vākhāne vṛthā janma yāya tāra asatya-vacane || 150 ||

krsnera carana chadi’ ye ara vakhane vrtha janma yaya tara asatya-vacane (150)

English translation:

(150) “The life of anyone who gives up the lotus feet of Kṛṣṇa and explains things as separate from Him is useless as a result of his false statements.

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

Kṛṣṇa alone is the cause of all causes and the original source of everything. Proud, asslike, ignorant people who give up the service of His lotus feet and take shelter of ajña-rūḍhi distort the meaning of the scriptures with superficial explanations. Thus they waste their rarely attained meaningful human form of life. In other words, as stated in the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam, they are actually jīvan-mṛta (living dead), jīvañ- chava (dead bodies), or śvasan-śava (dead although breathing).
