দণ্ডেক না দেখে যদি আই গৌরচন্দ্র মূর্ছা পাযে আই দুই চক্ষে হঞা অন্ধ ॥ ১১৫ ॥

दण्डेक ना देखे यदि आइ गौरचन्द्र मूर्छा पाये आइ दुइ चक्षे हञा अन्ध ॥ ११५ ॥

daṇḍeka nā dekhe yadi āi gauracandra mūrchā pāye āi dui cakṣe hañā andha || 115 ||

dandeka na dekhe yadi ai gauracandra murcha paye ai dui cakse hana andha (115)

English translation:

(115) If she did not see Gauracandra for a daṇḍa, she would faint and become blinded.

Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:

The word daṇḍeka means one daṇḍa or “about twenty-four minutes.” The words mūrchā pāye mean “to become unconscious or senseless.” The phrase dui cakṣe hañā andha—“she was blinded,” is used because Nimāi was the eyesight of mother Śacī.
