The Chaitanya Bhagavata 1.5.44, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 44 of Adi-khanda chapter 5—“Eating the Mendicant Brahmana’s Offerings”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 1.5.44:

মিশ্র বোলে,—“মোরে যদি থাকে ভৃত্য-জ্ঞান আর-বার পাক কর, করি’ দেঙ স্থান ॥ ৪৪ ॥

मिश्र बोले,—“मोरे यदि थाके भृत्य-ज्ञान आर-बार पाक कर, करि’ देङ स्थान ॥ ४४ ॥

miśra bole,—“more yadi thāke bhṛtya-jñāna āra-bāra pāka kara, kari’ deṅa sthāna || 44 ||

misra bole,—“more yadi thake bhrtya-jnana ara-bara paka kara, kari’ dena sthana (44)

English translation:

(44) Jagannātha Miśra said, “If you at all consider me your servant, then please cook again. I will make all arrangements.

One should carefully study the humble statements befitting a Vaiṣṇava that Jagannātha Miśra spoke to his Vaiṣṇava guest.
