The Brihad-bhagavatamrita Verse 1.7.41, English translation, including commentary (Dig-darshini-tika): an important Vaishnava text dealing with the importance of devotional service. The Brihad-bhagavatamrita, although an indepent Sanskrit work, covers the essential teachings of the Shrimad Bhagavatam (Bhagavata-purana). This is verse 1.7.41 contained in Chapter 7—Purna (pinnacle of excellent devotees)—of Part one (prathama-khanda).

Sanskrit text, Unicode transliteration, Word-for-word and English translation of verse 1.7.41:

श्री-नन्दनन्दन उवाच—
प्राणेश्वरि रहः-प्राप्तं भक्तम् एकाकिनं च माम् ।
सम्भाषसे कथं नाद्य तत् किं वृत्तासि मानिनी ॥ ४१ ॥

śrī-nandanandana uvāca
prāṇeśvari rahaḥ-prāptaṃ bhaktam ekākinaṃ ca mām |
sambhāṣase kathaṃ nādya tat kiṃ vṛttāsi māninī || 41 ||

Śrī Nanda-nandana said: “O Praneśvarī, O Supreme Goddess of my life! I am solely your devotee. Despite seeing me in this secluded place, why are you not speaking with me today? Have you become angry out of jealousy?”

Commentary: Dig-darśinī-ṭīkā with Bhāvānuvāda

(By Śrīla Sanātana Gosvāmī himself including a deep purport of that commentary)

The meaning of the verse is clear. [māninī means one who is so utterly jealous to the point of anger.]
