Udayāspada (उदयास्पद) refers to the “place of arising (of death)”, according to the Ṣaṭsāhasrasaṃhitā, an expansion of the Kubjikāmatatantra: the earliest popular and most authoritative Tantra of the Kubjikā cult.—Accordingly, “The face called the Lower World is on the path below. It is all bliss, secret, omniscient, and facing everywhere. It generates the six-fold path (of the universe). It is all things, the place where death arises (mṛtyu-udayāspada) (as well as) the seed and womb of the universe. It is the abode of the mother, the secret energy. That current is the lord Akula who, in order to emanate the universe, conceives his own imperishable Self to be Śakti”.

Udayāspada (उदयास्पद) refers to the “place of the arising” (of the taste for the constant happiness), according to the 11th century Jñānārṇava, a treatise on Jain Yoga in roughly 2200 Sanskrit verses composed by Śubhacandra.—Accordingly, “The doctrine is able to produce the happiness which is the best part of the city of the chief of the snakes. The doctrine is the great joy conveyed to the world of mortals for those possessing a desire for that. The doctrine is the place of the arising (udayāspada) of the taste for the constant happiness in the city of heaven (svarnagarīnirantarasukhāsvādodayasyāspadaṃ). Does not the doctrine make a man fit for pleasure with a woman [in the form] of liberation?”.
