Samitāmodaka (समितामोदक) refers to a type of Modaka sweet dish, as described as described in the 17th century Bhojanakutūhala (dravyaguṇāguṇa-kathana), and is commonly found in literature dealing with the topics of dietetics and culinary art, also known as Pākaśāstra or Pākakalā.

(Ingredients of Samitāmodaka): samita, cardamom, cloves and black pepper.

(Cooking instructions): Samita and ghee aremixed together. (the proportion of these two are 1:1/2). Fry this mixture and allow it to cool. Sugar of one third quantity of samita (1:1/3) is also added to this mixture along with cardamom, cloves and black pepper. Make balls of this mixture. This preparation is called by the name samitāmodaka. Author notes that this is very famous in Gujarat in the name Palasudīpa.
