Source: The University of Sydney: A study of the Twelve ReflectionsPraśamodbhava (प्रशमोद्भव) refers to “(being) produced from the tranquillity” (of discrimination), according to the 11th century Jñānārṇava, a treatise on Jain Yoga in roughly 2200 Sanskrit verses composed by Śubhacandra.—Accordingly, “This [virtuous meditation] confers upon corporeal souls the pleasure, produced from the tranquillity of discrimination (viveka-praśamodbhava) because of endless non-attachment, which is the experience of one’s own self [and] is beyond the senses”.
