2. Objectives and Significance of the Research
• Jaina Science and Spirituality in Modern Context is an attempt to spread the relevant teachings of Jainism, on an international scale, not only to the Jains but also to all the international seekers of the world.
• The study tries to discover ways on how Jaina science can give the world, answers to its’ most seeked questions, through science and spirituality.
• To put light on the great and pious works done by the Tirthankaras and Jaina Acharyas.
• To bring out the truth through the perspective of Jain philosophy, which is the closest, to the universal truth.
• The falsity about religion and truth, spread in the present society forced the author to acknowledge the need of spread of the religion in a healthy, positive and more liberal way.
• This thesis will give a bird’s eye view to any scholar who is interested in doing the research in Jainism, this way it will prepare a base to attract more people to understand Jain philosophy.
