1. Problem Statement

• The current problems of violence, terrorism and hatred, faced by the whole world indicate that we want peace and to attain that we have to be under the canopy of a religious philosophy. As where science has failed to set an example of universal brotherhood, religious philosophies are all about peace, compassion and unity.

• Jains are doing high quality work into the field of spread of their philosophy, around the world. No matter where they are, they are one when it comes to the spread of their religion.

• But somehow these efforts seem limited when we look at the masses who do not belong to the Jain community. For example: spreading nonviolence amongst the nonviolent is vain.

• Jain philosophy can touch even more lives and can show way, towards the path of truth and eternal bliss, to many seekers. It has not been spread the way it could have been.

• Real religion helps one expanding one’s horizon. It gives one space to be one. Whereas today’s followers as well Gurus, only focus on one’s shortcomings.

• Till now Jain philosophy is being understood as a confined, strict philosophy but it is not so at all. Rather it is a path towards self-awakening through self-improvement.
