The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

इदमुत्तममाख्यानमध्येयं वेदवत्सदा ।
व्याख्येयं पूजनीयं च पुरुषार्थफलप्रदम् ॥ ५० ॥

idamuttamamākhyānamadhyeyaṃ vedavatsadā |
vyākhyeyaṃ pūjanīyaṃ ca puruṣārthaphalapradam || 50 ||

This excellent work is to be read always, like the recital of the vedas, which are embodied herein; and this is is calculated to reward the labor of the student, by its being constantly read with reverence, and rightly explained with diligence.
