The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

वीराणां दीयतामाज्ञा पूज्यन्तामिष्टदेवताः ।
आहूयन्तां च सामन्ता हन्यतां रणदुण्दुभिः ॥ ६ ॥

vīrāṇāṃ dīyatāmājñā pūjyantāmiṣṭadevatāḥ |
āhūyantāṃ ca sāmantā hanyatāṃ raṇaduṇdubhiḥ || 6 ||

Give orders to our bravos to sally out to the field, and command the people to worship and implore the protection of the gods; and let the generals give the war alarm with loud sounding drums and trumpets.
