The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.1.57; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

यथा —
अम्बर-मणि-निकुरम्बं विडम्बयन्न् अपि मरीचि-कुलैः ।
हरि-वक्षसि रुचि-निविडे मणिराड् अयम् उडुर् इव स्फुरति ॥२.१.५७॥

yathā —
ambara-maṇi-nikurambaṃ viḍambayann api marīci-kulaiḥ |
hari-vakṣasi ruci-niviḍe maṇirāḍ ayam uḍur iva sphurati
||2.1.57||

English translation

“Though the Kaustubha jewel, the king of jewels, discredits the sun by its shining rays, it appears like only a star on the Lord’s chest, which shines much brighter.”
