The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 1.2.96; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

अथार्षानुमतेनैषाम् उदाहरणम् ईर्यते ॥१.२.९६॥

athārṣānumatenaiṣām udāharaṇam īryate ||1.2.96||

English translation

“The last five items were mentioned previously; they have been mentioned again to show their superiority among all the aṅgas of bhakti. Thus 64 methods of worship involving the body, senses and internal organs [of intelligence and consciousness] have been presented sequentially, some being separate items and others containing additional items within them. Next, examples of each item will be cited according to traditional Vedic authority.”
