प्रति॑ वां॒ रथं॑ नृपती ज॒रध्यै॑ ह॒विष्म॑ता॒ मन॑सा य॒ज्ञिये॑न । यो वां॑ दू॒तो न धि॑ष्ण्या॒वजी॑ग॒रच्छा॑ सू॒नुर्न पि॒तरा॑ विवक्मि ॥
प्रति वां रथं नृपती जरध्यै हविष्मता मनसा यज्ञियेन । यो वां दूतो न धिष्ण्यावजीगरच्छा सूनुर्न पितरा विवक्मि ॥
prati vāṃ rathaṃ nṛpatī jaradhyai haviṣmatā manasā yajñiyena | yo vāṃ dūto na dhiṣṇyāv ajīgar acchā sūnur na pitarā vivakmi ||
English translation:
“Lords of men, (I approach) to adore your chariot with devout praise and oblation, I address it as if itwere a messenger to awaken you, adorable deities, as a son (addresses) his parents.”
