ई॒युर्गावो॒ न यव॑सा॒दगो॑पा यथाकृ॒तम॒भि मि॒त्रं चि॒तास॑: । पृश्नि॑गाव॒: पृश्नि॑निप्रेषितासः श्रु॒ष्टिं च॑क्रुर्नि॒युतो॒ रन्त॑यश्च ॥
ईयुर्गावो न यवसादगोपा यथाकृतमभि मित्रं चितासः । पृश्निगावः पृश्निनिप्रेषितासः श्रुष्टिं चक्रुर्नियुतो रन्तयश्च ॥
īyur gāvo na yavasād agopā yathākṛtam abhi mitraṃ citāsaḥ | pṛśnigāvaḥ pṛśninipreṣitāsaḥ śruṣṭiṃ cakrur niyuto rantayaś ca ||
English translation:
“They who ride on particoloured cattle, (the Maruts), despatched by Pṛṣṇi and recalling theengagement made by them with their friend (Indra), came like cattle from the pasturage, when left without aherdsman; the exulting Niyut steeds brought them quickly (against the foe).”
