अव॑र्धयन्त्सु॒भगं॑ स॒प्त य॒ह्वीः श्वे॒तं ज॑ज्ञा॒नम॑रु॒षं म॑हि॒त्वा । शिशुं॒ न जा॒तम॒भ्या॑रु॒रश्वा॑ दे॒वासो॑ अ॒ग्निं जनि॑मन्वपुष्यन् ॥
अवर्धयन्त्सुभगं सप्त यह्वीः श्वेतं जज्ञानमरुषं महित्वा । शिशुं न जातमभ्यारुरश्वा देवासो अग्निं जनिमन्वपुष्यन् ॥
avardhayan subhagaṃ sapta yahvīḥ śvetaṃ jajñānam aruṣam mahitvā | śiśuṃ na jātam abhy ārur aśvā devāso agniṃ janiman vapuṣyan ||
English translation:
“The seven great rivers augmented in might the auspicious, pure, and radiant Agni as soon as he was born, in like manner as mares (tend) the newborn foal; the gods cherished the body (of Agni) at his birth.”
