The Garga-samhita Verse 6.10.10, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 6 of Chapter 10 (In the Description of the Gomati River, the Glories of Cakra-tirtha) of Canto 6 (dvaraka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

तं मेघ-नाद-गम्भीरं
गिरं श्रुत्वा जलेचरः
चुक्रोश पाहि पाहीति
देव-देव जगत्-पते

taṃ megha-nāda-gambhīraṃ
giraṃ śrutvā jalecaraḥ
cukrośa pāhi pāhīti
deva-deva jagat-pate

tam—this; megha-nāda-gambhīram—deep as thunder; giram—statement; śrutvāhearing; jalecaraḥ—the conch; cukrośa—called out; pāhi—save; pāhi— save; iti—thus; deva-devaO Lord of lords; jagat-pateO master of the universes.

English translation of verse 6.10.10:

Hearing the Lord's words deep as thunder, the conch Kakśivān called out,

"Lord of lords! Master of the universes! Save me! Save me!"
